Shipping and Returns
DELIVERY CHARGES AND SHIPPING NOTES:
All orders received by 1.00pm (GMT/BST) on a working day, will be dispatched the same day. Orders received at the weekend or on British Bank Holidays will be despatched on the next working day.
UK including Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Islands:
DPD Courier – Tracked and Signed For – next working day (except Saturday) -
Orders between £10 and £30.00 in value - add £1.75 Royal Mail charge.
Orders over £30.01 - add £5.65 DPD courier charge.
Delivery should take place within 1 working day & will be delivered between 9-5pm. Upon delivery of your order, a signature will be required. Orders placed after 1pm on Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be dispatched the following Monday. If you are not able to take delivery of your order, the parcel will be taken to the carrier's local depot. You will be advised of how to arrange re-delivery on the card that they will leave at your address. If you provide a mobile number, you will get a message with a 1 hour slot delivery. DPD Courier – Tracked and Signed For – Saturday delivery - £11
For orders placed on Friday before 1pm, delivery will be on Saturday and should take place between 9-5pm. If you provide a mobile number, you will get a message with a 1 hour slot delivery. For tracking your DPD packages, please visit: www.dpd.co.uk/tracking
Special note about shipping woollen insoles and alpaca socks . Please note that insoles ordered on their own will be shipped using Royal Mail large letter service and will be delivered in 48 hours of despatch. If you order insoles and/or alpaca socks together with boots then your insoles will be included in the same courier parcel and so will arrive in the DPD time frame as described. Woollen insoles and alpaca socks cannot be guaranteed for Saturday delivery unless they are ordered together with boots and the extra delivery charge is paid.
Special note for European customers following Brexit;
We are very sorry but following the Brexit vote in the UK and all the new costs and legislation that has followed this, we are now unable to ship into EU countries. We are very disappointed about this and will be lobbying governments to allow tiny businesses such as ours to find legal options that would enable us to go back to selling our wonderful garden shoes into EU countries again. But in the mean time we cannot ship to the EU - sorry.
USA and Canada :
DHL or UPS Courier – Tracked & Signed for – 2 to 3 working days.
Orders between £10 and £40.00 in value - add £8 Royal Mail charge.
Orders between £40.01 and £190 in value - add £25 courier charge.
Special note about shipping woollen insoles and alpaca socks . These products can be ordered on their own and shipped to you by British Royal Mail. We recognise that the cost of this shipping method is relatively high and therefore recommend that you order insoles together with boots and then they will be shipped in the same carton at no extra cost via DPD courier.
You will get an email with the courier provider and the tracking number. It will be either DHL or UPS.
Please note that some states such as Guam, Virgin Islands, Marshall Islands and Puerto Rico are not covered by this shipping policy and customers living in those States are invited to email us for tailored shipping information and costs; firstname.lastname@example.org

Any customers who are located in other countries who wish to purchase our Poddy & Black boots should email us at : email@example.com to get a quote for shipping to your country.
Important Note for customers outside the UK.
When ordering products from the Website for delivery outside the UK you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you as we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact the local customs office for further information.
If you refuse a shipment from Poddy and Black, you are responsible for the original shipping charges, any Import Fees that are incurred on the package, and the cost of returning the package to Poddy and Black. This amount will be deducted from your merchandise refund.
Additionally, please note that when ordering from the Website, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which the products are received. Your privacy is important to us and we know that you care about how information about your order is used and shared. We would like our international customers to be aware that cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

STANDARD RETURNS AND REFUND POLICY:
You may return new, unworn or unused shoes, boots and clogs within 30 days of the date purchased for a full refund of the cost of the goods. Please note we cannot refund or exchange woollen insoles and alpaca socks at this time, please do not return them to us. To be eligible for a refund or exchange your item must returned within 30 days of the date purchased and be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging so that the product remains undamaged in transit.
When you receive products you have ordered, we recognise that you will want to try them on to check the fit and feel of the item. Please take care not to damage or mark the product when trying on. Please remember, we can only issue you with a refund or exchange if the returned product concerned is in reasonable and saleable condition.
Returning your Poddy and Blacks if you bought from our web site :
- Please ensure you include the completed returns form inside your package.
- Please also include your original order form/shipping note.
- Please make sure that your return package is packed and sealed securely (in the original packaging if possible).
- Please follow the instructions on the form inside the box. We recommend that UK customers use a signed-for service when paying for the postage. Woollen insoles and alpaca socks cannot be returned.
- Returns from outside the UK must be posted by courier or recorded delivery, please follow the instructions on the Returns form in the original box. The item is your responsibility until it reaches us, so we would advise you to send it by registered mail or any postage that requires signing upon delivery. The cost of returning the item to us is also your responsibility. We will issue you a refund on receipt of the return or exchange the item for a different size or colour if preferred. This does not apply to woollen insoles and alpaca socks which cannot be returned.
- For customers outside the UK we will refund the costs of any shipping you paid when we originally despatched the goods from us to you.
Returning your Poddy and Blacks if you did not buy them from our web site:
For enquiries about the return or refund of goods purchased elsewhere (such as at live events) please email your query about Returns to hello@Poddyandblack.com. stating Return in the subject of the email.
Once your return is received it will be inspected and if the refund is approved then your refund will be processed minus the original shipping charge. A credit will automatically be applied to your original form of payment, such as credit card or Paypal account as soon as we can and in any case within 30 days.
We reserve the right to reject the request for refund if goods are not returned in accordance with our Returns Policy. We will notify you within 5 days of receipt if your refund is rejected and we may request that you pay for the shipping to return the goods back to you. Our Returns Policy does not affect your statutory rights.
We can replace items if they are defective or damaged when you received them or if you wish to change to a different style or colour. If you want an exchange please fill in the returns form indicating the style, size, colour of product that you wish to receive in exchange for your original purchase. We will endeavour to replace your item with the style/colour/size requested but in the event that it is out of stock we will issue a refund instead. If any part of your order is unavailable, we will contact you to inform you of the issue, and your card will be debited or credited depending on the order and unavailable items. Products bought on Sale will only be exchanged if they are found to be faulty or damaged when you recieved them.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable):
Please contact Paypal or your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

We do our best to accurately represent the items in our photography. However, as we have no control over our customers monitor settings (colours, resolution, etc.) we cannot guarantee colours will be exactly as they appear on our website.
We aim to respond to all e-mail enquiries within 24 hours.
